Yvonne "Bonnie" Jones

Yvonne Corrinne “Bonnie” Jones, 90, of Morning Sun, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at the First United Presbyterian Church in Mediapolis. Burial will be in Kossuth Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2023 at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Mediapolis.  A memorial has been established for the Mediapolis Ambulance Service in Yvonne’s name.  Online condolences can by left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. 

Yvonne was born March 25, 1932 in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Delbert and Dorothy (Webber) Stanbary. She was united in marriage to Robert Owen Jones on October 15, 1950.

Yvonne was a lifelong farmer alongside her husband. In addition to her love for farming, she also enjoyed shopping, gathering with friends for Bible Study, and spending time with her family.  

Yvonne will be deeply missed by her children: Robert (Lori) Jones of Mediapolis; Judy Jones of Burlington; and Amy (Jim) Leonard of Hoffman Estates, IL; grandchildren: Jason Edwards, Brook Edwards, James Leonard, Ryan Anderson, Erica Staggs, Chad McGinity and Destiny Reid; many great-grandchildren; brother, Neil Stanbary of Burlington; sister, Sue Ricketts of Terre Haute, IN; and many nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one sister, Janice.
