William "Bill" Walker

Bill Walker, 86, of Mediapolis, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at his home in Mediapolis. Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service at Kossuth Cemetery on Monday  July 14th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.  Memorials are suggested to be given to the Parkinson's Research Foundation www.parkinsonshope.org.  The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Mediapolis is assisting the family. William Claire Walker was born on July 2, 1939, in Burlington, Iowa the son of Rothel and Florence (Johnson) Walker. He was a Class of 1957 graduate of Mediapolis High School, and a lifelong area farmer. Bill enjoyed golf, hunting, genealogy and showing off his mail order house and barn. In his younger years he was very active with renovating and documenting old cemeteries. He would also collect, research and document old photos for ancestry web sites.

Bill will be deeply missed by his sister, Dianne Woodard of Clear Lake; nephews, Scott (Linda) Woodard of St. Louis, Missouri and Jan (Sandy) Woodard of Chattanooga, Tennessee; many cousins and extended family.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
