William W. Smith, 75, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at his home in Muscatine. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the committal service, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the New Hope Global Methodist Church in Muscatine. Memorials may be directed to P.B.S. in memory of Bill. William Wayne Smith was born on March 19, 1950 in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Harold Leroy and Betty Arlene (Hines) Smith. He was a graduate of Muscatine High School and went on to attend Iowa State University. Over the years, Bill had worked at Bandag, Inc. in the Research and Development department, John’s Manville, Muscatine Power & Water as an instrumentation specialist and finally at Smith’s Sales & Service. Bill was a life member of the American Motorcycle Association. He enjoyed computers, motorcycles and anything mechanical. He was always there to help with a lending hand to anyone in need.
Bill will be deeply missed by his siblings, Ed Smith of Muscatine, Charles E. (Teresa) Smith of Muscatine and Dr. Kathleen Smith of Loves Park, Illinois; nephew, Timothy (Yoli) Smith of Muscatine; niece, Whitney (Nahum) Heath of Lone Tree, Colorado and great nieces and nephews, Mercedes, Kaden, Karson, Jaslene, Yecenia and Sadie.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
