William "Big Bill" Latta

William “Big Bill” Latta, 59 of Wapello, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at his friends’ home, Shelley and Jamie Cromer.  Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Grandview Cemetery.  Sympathy messages can be left for the family at www.sandfuneralservice.com.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Wapello is caring for Bill’s arrangements. 

William Glen Latta was born on August 8, 1962, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Glen Vivver and Jacqueline Mae (Rohde) Latta.  He was a 1980 graduate of L&M High School and attended Muscatine Community College for two years.  Bill farmed for Cook’s, Hoben’s, Schlutz’s and Whittaker’s and also worked at G&W Auto Parts for 10 years  He also drove truck and farmed.  He enjoyed fishing, baling hay, farming and had a great love of his pets.  Bill was loved by his family, friends and the community.

Bill will be deeply missed by his brother, Donnie (Beth) Latta of Grandview; uncle, Kenny Latta of Grandview; friend, caregiver and guardian angel, Diane Wykkert and his dog, Willow.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
