Wanda J. Goddard, 81, of Columbus Junction, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Columbus Junction. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Wanda. Wanda Joy Evans was born on November 8, 1943, in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of Marion Kenneth and Mary Eileen (Dillavou) Evans. On June 18, 1960, Wanda was united in marriage to Gene Goddard, Sr. in Kahoka, Missouri. The couple later divorced. Wanda worked at the grocery store in Letts, janitorial at the L&M High School and Letts United Methodist Church and later joined her daughter, Suzy cleaning businesses. She also raised vegetables and sold them at many farmer’s markets and for Taylor’s Market. Wanda was a member of the Seventh-day Adventists Church in Muscatine and enjoyed her flowers, gardening, cooking, going for rides and her church family in Muscatine but most of all, she loved to spend time with her family.
Wanda will be deeply missed by her children, Gene (Debbie) Goddard of Cranston and Suzy (David) Hills of Columbus Junction; Harlan “Punk” Warnstaff who was like her son and his wife, Karen of Conesville; five grandchildren, Jonathan (Megan) Hills of Mt. Pleasant, Lacy Goddard of Moscow, Mindy Garner of Illinois, Tiffany (Jared) Hill of New London and Bowen (Samantha) Spitznogle of Letts; four great grandchildren, Gavin Goddard, Oliver Garner, Matthew Hill and Orsen Spitznogle and many nieces and nephews.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, M. Jolene Dallas and Carol Ann Evans.
