Vernon Tripses Obituary

Vernon A. Tripses, 49, of Nichols, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A memorial service will be held at a later date.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Vernon. Vernon Allen Tripses was born on November 11, 1976, in Iowa City, Iowa the son of David Earl and Bonnie Bea (Bell) Tripses. He was a graduate of Lone Tree High School and then attended Kirkwood Community College for Diesel Mechanics. Vernon was united in marriage to Veronica Eveland. He was the owner and operator of Next Generation Shows. Vernon was a member of the International Independent Showman’s Association, Iowa Fair Association and the Arkansas Fair Association. He enjoyed going on vacation to Florida every year, visiting the casinos and was known to be the life of the party, but most of all, Vernon loved to see all of the smiles on the kids’ and families’ faces at all of the fairs and festivals, watching Jordyn’s sporting events and spend time with his family and friends .


Vernon will be missed by his wife, Veronica of Nichols; his children, Jessica Bixby of Pleasant Hill, Chase Tripses of Nichols, Jordyn Tripses of Nichols and Kati Bauwens of Iowa City; grandchildren, Emma, Evey, Ainslee, Atlas and Simon; mother, Bonnie Tripses of Lone Tree and siblings, Kenneth (Leslie) Tripses of Lone Tree, Tammy (Dan) Crossman of South English, Jesse (Tracy) Tripses of Williamsburg, David (Janey) Holmes of Columbus Junction and Brad Tripses of Lone Tree. 


Vernon was preceded in death by his father and sister-in-law, Tina O’Leary.
