Verlin Palmer, 88, of Mediapolis, formerly of Waterloo, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Prairie Ridge Nursing Home in Mediapolis. Private services will be held at a later date. The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Service of Mediapolis is caring for the family. Memorials may be left to the family in memory of Verlin. Verlin Eugene Palmer was born October 31, 1932 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of James and Flossie (Wells) Palmer. He worked for the Iowa DOT and was a farmer. Verlin enjoyed traveling, camping, John Deere tractors and taking care of his farm.

Verlin will be deeply missed by his children, Cheryl (Jeff) DeFosse of Mediapolis, Brenda (Ken) Hooten of Keller, TX, Sharron (Glenn) Halbrook of Farmington and Marvin (Tori) Palmer of Washington; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents; granddaughter, Kelli and two great-grandsons-in-infancy.
