Tracy (Aikin) Rininger

Tracy Rininger, 54, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025 at her home.  A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.  Memorials have been established for Special Olympics of Muscatine and Mercy One Genesis Community Hospice in Tracy’s name.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservices.com. 

Tracy Aikin was born on October 11, 1970 in Phoenix, Arizona, the daughter of James Aikin and Edith (Wallace) Aikin.  Tracy graduated from high school in Tomales, California and went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree in sociology from The University of Iowa.  On November 7, 1998, Tracy was united in marriage to Shawn Rininger in Davenport.  Tracy currently was working at the Muscatine YMCA with Special Olympics and also had worked for Senior Resources of Muscatine.  Tracy enjoyed working with special needs children, playing pickleball and traveling; most recently traveling with her family to Germany.   She was a proud ten-gallon blood donor, something she enjoyed doing with her father.  Above everything Tracy’s pride and joy was being a wife and mother and being with her family. 

Tracy will be deeply missed by her husband, Shawn Rininger; sons, Adam Rininger of Muscatine and Scott Rininger of Kansas City; her mother, Edith Aikin of Muscatine; brother, Brian (Kris Furukawa) Aikin of California; nephews, Oliver and Theodore Aikin; mother-in-law, Joan Rininger and sister-in-law, Shannon Rininger, both of Michigan. 

Tracy was preceded in death by her father; and father-in-law, Neven Rininger.
