Theodore Andrew Yankee, 57, of Muscatine, Iowa passed away Monday at Unity Point Hospital in Rock Island, Illinois after a brave battle with cancer.
Cremation Services are provided by Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral Home of Muscatine, Iowa.
Ted was born on April 29, 1968 in Davenport, Iowa the son of Stephen and Wiladene Yankee.
Ted graduated from Muscatine High School and attended Southwest Missouri State College and went through the R.O.T.C. program and was commissioned a 2nd Lt. and served 8 years in the Army Reserves.
He worked in Muscatine for HON Industries, enjoyed down hill snow skiing, occasionally golf, maintained a Koi Pond, like to garden and was a Green Bay Packers fan.
Ted was a gentle and kind man, was enjoyable to be around with a wonderful sense of humor.
Survivors include his mother, Wiladene; stepmother, Shelby Yankee; father, Stephen; brother, Mark; step-brothers, Brad and Todd Felger and various aunts, uncles, niece and nephews living in five different states.
Contributions in Ted’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, or the Muscatine Humane Society – Animal Shelter. Memorial Contributions may be sent to Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine in care of the Yankee Family, 2907 Mulberry Avenue, Muscatine, Iowa 52761.
