Susan Ann Anderson was born on January 15, 1958 in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Glen Edward and Cleta Ann (Hansford) Anderson. She was a 1976 graduate of Muscatine High School and remained close to her classmates, meeting up often for lunch dates. Sue later went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Iowa Wesleyan. Over the years, Sue had been employed at Heinz, Inc, Ramco and later GPC. Beginning in 2019, Sue began her “retirement” career with REM Iowa. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Sue loved many things in life; in her younger years she loved riding her motorcycle, camping, fishing and the simpler way of life. She was an avid crafter and plant lover who also enjoyed crocheting, the outdoors, spending time in her pool, collecting vinyl records, reading Stephen King and watching Scooby Doo and James Dean on TV. While Sue was watching her sports-the Rams, Hawkeyes or NASCAR, everyone knew she was not to be bothered. Sue loved being a fur mom to her dogs, Willow and Luna, cats, Gibson and Lucy and was to Abby for 16 years. More than anything, Sue loved her family especially her grandkids and her outings with the Cousins Club.
Sue will be deeply missed by her daughter, Kira Reed; grandson, Maddox; and granddaughter, Eisley all of Muscatine; brother, Perry Anderson and wife, Ginette of Fruitland and sister, Glenda Fetters and husband, John of Cedar Rapids; six aunts, two uncles and many adored nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents and maternal and paternal grandparents.
