Susan Miller

Susan Miller, 70, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Susan Conklin was born on April 21, 1954, in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of David and Betty (Williams) Conklin. She was united in marriage in 1980 to Larry Miller in Independence, Iowa. Susan was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, making jewelry, her flower garden and morning walks on the river trails. She dreamed of peace on earth. Animals loved her as much as she loved them... except for spiders. And children told her, "I want to be like you when I grow up". But most of all, she had her faith, and she loved her family.

Susan will be deeply missed by her husband, Larry Miller of Muscatine; children, Sarah (and Jered) Newberry of Muscatine and Jason (and Jennifer) Miller of Iowa City; grandchildren; Elijah, Olive, Angus, Madi and Carlie; brothers-in-law Randy (and Judy) Miller and Ron (and Liz) Miller of Independence, Fay (and Ellen) Miller of Minneapolis, sister-in-law, Audrey Conklin of El Paso, Texas and niece, Kelly Esham of Tucson, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lloyd Conklin and sister, Beverly Krogstad.
