Steven R Tompkins

Steven “Steve” R. Tompkins, 71, of Conesville passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025 at his home.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Columbus Junction is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Steve was born on November 7, 1954 to Richard and Dorothy (Wilder) Tompkins.  He was united in marriage to Paula Lowe on August 2, 1975 in Columbus Junction.  Steve worked for many years at RadioShack as a sales person and later went on to work for Tracker Boats as a supervisor.  He was the local handyman and was always working on a project.  Steve enjoyed building model trains and he coached his son’s baseball team.  Most of all Steve loved to spend time with his family.

Those left to honor his memory his children, Thomas (Kendall) Tompkins and Sheridan Tompkins; grandchildren Aubri and Ailyn; his parents Richard and Dorothy; siblings Richard (Sherry), Dennis, Bruce, Doug, Shirley, and Sue; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Paula and brother Jeff.
