Stephen Joseph Galloway

Stephen “Joe” Galloway, 69, of Lone Tree, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Joe.  The Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Lone Tree is caring for Joe’s family and arrangements.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  

Stephen Joseph Galloway was born on March 13, 1952, in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Elmer James and Virginia Rose (Smith) Galloway.  He was a 1970 graduate of Lone Tree High School.  Joe owned and operated Galloway Super Service in Lone Tree, then worked at Iowa City Tire and later opened Paragon Service in Lone Tree.  He enjoyed gardening, working on cars and anything outdoors.      

Joe will be deeply missed by his children, Taiya (Jeremy) Hotz of rural Iowa City, Cassie (Bill) Hingst of Columbus Junction, Joseph Galloway of Hills and Jesse (Jenny) Galloway of Palo; seven grandchildren, Wesley and Will Hotz, Aggatha and Henry Hingst and Sophia, Nolan and Kiana Galloway and siblings, John Galloway of Iowa City and Kevin (Laura) Galloway of Lone Tree.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Douglas Galloway.
