Stanley Herbert Schnicker

Stan Schnicker, 80, of Mediapolis, passed away on July 20, 2020 at Great River Medical Center in Burlington.  Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at the Mediapolis First United Presbyterian Church.  Following the service, a Time of Gathering will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the church.  The service will be broadcast online via Zoom, please contact the family for the link.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be left to the family in memory of Stan.  Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Mediapolis is caring for the family. Stanley Herbert Schnicker was born on February 29, 1940 in Des Moines County, the son of Herbert and Helen (Craft) Schnicker.  He graduated from Huron Schools.  Stan was united in marriage to Barbara Cline on October 25, 1959 at the Lutheran Church in Mediapolis.  He was an Independent  Truck Driver for 35 years.  Stan was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Mediapolis.  He enjoyed working, fiddling on the farm and cheering on the Green Bay Packers and St. Louis Cardinals.

Stan is survived by his wife Barbara of Mediapolis; children; Wendy Barbaris, Jeff (Gayla) Schnicker and Bryon (Kayleen) Schnicker, all of Mediapolis; siblings, Jerri (Denny) Callahan of LeMars, Kathy Nelson of Mediapolis, Betty Schnicker of St. James City, FL, Bonnie (Rich) Freesemann of Britt,  Robert (Betty) Schnicker of Lebanon, Oregon, Dale Schnicker of Salem, Oregon, Chuck (Debbie) Schnicker of Mediapolis; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Roger and Jim.
