Shawn T. Honts

Shawn T. Honts, 51, of Muscatine passed away Friday, December 26, 2025 at the Gensis East MercyOne Hospital in Davenport.  A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 3:00 P.M. at the Rose Bowl 1411 Grandview Ave, Muscatine.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Shawn was born on April 29, 1974 in Muscatine, Iowa to Thomas and Delores (McCormick) Honts.  He was united in marriage to Amy Huston on May 18, 1996.  Shawn worked as a lawn care specialist for many years, until his health got bad.  He was an avid fisherman and loved to ride his bike around town.

Those left to honor his memory are his wife of 29 years, Amy; their children Devan (Rick) Vaul-Honts, Toby Honts, and Shaylin Honts; he was PaPa to Haze, Amora, and Ender; his sister Lisa; mother-in-law Brenda Wheeler; father-in-law Vince (Lori) Huston; sisters-in-law Melinda, Julie, Sam, and Tonya; brothers-in-law Matthew, Aaron, Chris, and Steve; many nieces and nephews; and his special fishing buddies Tito, Julian, and Austen.

He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Delores; sister Nancy, brothers Eddie and Thomas, Jr.; niece Maria; and nephews Christopher and Alex.
