Sharon "Sherry" Lynn (Tomfeld) Anderson

Sherry Anderson, 72, of Wapello passed on to her heavenly home on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.  Graveside services will be held  at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Letts Cemetery.  Following the services a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Letts Community Center.  Memorials may be left to the Des Moines County Humane Society in memory of Sherry.    Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservices.com.   Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Wapello is caring for Sherry’s family and her arrangements.

Sharon “Sherry” Lynn Tomfeld was born on February 7, 1953, the daughter of Robert and Patricia (McGrew) Tomfeld.  She attended Louisa-Muscatine School and grew up in the Letts area.  On June 26, 1993, she was united in marriage to Brent Anderson in Wapello.  She worked a variety of jobs in manufacturing, agriculture and in restaurants.

Sherry also worked hard on the homestead, caring for livestock, mowing and gardening.  She enjoyed home canning and baking.  Sherrl loved the Lord and home Bible study.  She cherished several horses and special companion dogs over the years and hoped there was a place for them to reunite in heaven.

Sherry will be deeply missed by her husband, Brent; sister, Robin Dieckman a niece and several nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Randy Tomfeld.
