Sharon K. Keeler, 88, of Riverside, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at University of Iowa Health Medical Center Downtown Iowa City. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 11, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Lone Tree. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Following the committal services at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Lone Tree American Legion. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Sharon. Online condolences may be left at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.
Sharon Kay Musser was born on November 19, 1936, in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of Fay and Ethel M. (Gosenberg) Musser. On November 20, 1954, Sharon was united in marriage to Robert E. Keeler in Iowa City. Sharon worked for Tindal & Kitchen PLC in Washington where she prepared taxes and estates and also helped her husband on the farm for 35 years. She was a member of the Salem Church of God, Lone Tree Legion Auxiliary and the Shirts and Skirts Square Dance Club in Ainsworth. Sharon loved to spend time with her family especially going to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren events.
Sharon will be deeply missed by her children, Russel E. (Cynthia) Keeler of North Liberty, Sheri S. Sojka of Lone Tree and Kellie A. (Kevin) Kucera of Ainsworth; grandchildren Brian Keeler, Eric Keeler, Heather Keeler, Andy Kucera, Corey Sojka, Rebecca Meyerholz and Kayla Sojka; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert on February 23, 1999; daughter, Janice M. Keeler; son-in-law, Mark Sojka; 2 sister and 2 brothers.
