Selma I. Johnson, 74, of Nichols, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020, at her home in Nichols. Private graveside services will be held at a later date in the Conesville Cemetery. Selma Irene Seering was born on April 11, 1946, the daughter of Roland and Lois (Parker) Seering in Iowa City, Iowa. On February 28, 1969, Selma was united in marriage to Kenneth Johnson in Coralville. She worked at Oral B in Iowa City for 33 years. Selma enjoyed her flowers, gardening, fishing and her dogs.
Selma will be deeply missed by her husband, Kenneth of Nichols; daughter, Bobbie Lea Johnson (Eric Roy) of Gilman, Missouri; grandchildren, Colton, Kaleb and Kammie; siblings, Richard (Rita) Seering of Waco, Texas, Donna Byers of Iowa City, Alfred (Jolene) Seering of Tiffin, Betty Herring of Lone Tree, Ronald (Connie) Seering of White City, Oregon, Arletta (Gary) Howard of Ainsworth, Pat (Paul) Faylor of Chillicothe, Nancy (Tom) Paulus of Lone Tree and Linda Seering and companion, Ron Fondren of Lone Tree and many other family and friends.
Selma was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Lois Seering; one brother, Irvin Seering and nephew, Jimmy Ingersoll.
