Sara A. (Danner) Fowler-Krueger

Sara A. Fowler-Krueger, 90, of Illinois City, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Lutheran Living.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, May, 17, 2025, from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.  Following the burial, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Illinois City Church.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Sara.  Online condolences may be left at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. 

Sara Ann Danner was born on November 14, 1934, in Illinois City, Illinois the daughter of Harry and Verda (Thomas) Danner.  She was a graduate of Reynolds High School.  On March 29, 1953, Sara was united in marriage to A. Leroy Fowler in Illinois City.  Leroy passed September 30, 1988.  On April 30, 1994, Sara was united in marriage to Gary Krueger in Illinois City.  Sara was a farm wife and homemaker.  She was a member of the Illinois City United Methodist Church and the Muscatine YMCA for 30 plus years.  Sara enjoyed square dancing, water skiing, camping, gardening, playing Rumikub and word search puzzles, but most of all, she loved to spend time with her family.

Sara will be deeply missed by her children, Lori (Bill) Jarrett of Illinois City, Steve (Sandra) Fowler of Illinois City and Judy (Bobby Pate) Fowler of Crystal River, Florida; step-children, Don Krueger, Roger Krueger and Connie Peterson; grandchildren, Justin (Jackie) Benningfield, Jeremy Fowler, Yolanda Quiroz, Brandi Hicks, Angela Schillig and Heidi Dunn and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and siblings, Beaulah Rudsell, Elmer Danner, Beverly Hammonn and Alice Carpenter.
