Sara Bennett, 81, of Muscatine, passed away at her home on Friday, March 22, 2024. Sara Jane Chastain was born on October 6, 1942 in Salem, Indiana, the daughter of Paul and Ora (Walton) Chastain. Sara was a high school teacher who taught in Indiana and Nebraska after obtaining her master's degree in education. She celebrated 60 years of marriage with her husband, Ronald after meeting him at Purdue University. Sara wishes were to be cremated with no formal services but to be in remembrance by all who loved her. She is survived by a host of family and friends including her husband, Ronald Bennett of Muscatine. Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine is caring for Sara's arrangements.
