Sandra Lessenger Obituary

Sandra Kay (McCracken) Lessenger, 81, of Muscatine passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine.  Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024 at the funeral home.  A memorial has been established for her family in Sandra’s name.   Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Sandra Kay McCracken was born on December 15, 1942 in Muscatine, the daughter of William Jr. and Vernabelle (Brown) McCracken.  Sandra graduated from Muscatine High School.  She was united in marriage to Edward Noah, Sr. and Arlo Lessenger.  Sandra always worked with special needs individuals and retired after many years for working at the Muscatine County Home and Systems Unlimited.  Sandra was a member of the Eagles and enjoyed traveling and taking cruises.  Most importantly she enjoyed the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.

Sandra will be deeply missed by her children, Vicki Jo Cox, Edward “Jay” Noah, Jr., Verna Michele “Shelli” Noah and Candice “Candi” Lea (Shane) Townsend, all of Muscatine; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Rodney Mathias and Paul (Sheri) Mathias, all of Muscatine; special sister, Paula Brown; foster brothers, Les (Becky) Ridenour of Oklahoma and Charles Harland of Muscatine; sons-in-law, Rod Eaton and Bobby Randall; lifelong friends, Sharon Welsch and Gene Hohenshell and Sandra’s beloved dog, Annabelle. 

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; children, Johnny Ray, Beth Ann and Tamara Kae; step-brother, Darrel Lee: stepsister, Pam Lee of Kansas; special brother, William G. Brown and foster brothers, Dennis Smith and David Stuart.
