Sam Evans Obituary

Sam Evans 39, of Des Moines, formerly of Muscatine passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Mercy One in Des Moines. At this time there will be no visitation or services. Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine are caring for Sam’s arrangements and his family.

Samuel Ray Evans was born on September 2, 1981 in Muscatine the son of Andy and Jimmie (Justus) Evans. Sam was a 2000 graduate of Muscatine High School. He enjoyed walking around to find treasures and harassing his nieces and nephews.

Sam will be deeply missed by his mother, Jimmie Evans; sisters, Tiffany Metzger and Cory Evans, both of Muscatine; grandmother, Pat Evans; nephews, Dylan Metzger, Kameron Evans, Zach Smolek and Dominick Smolek; nieces, Abigail Metzger and Zoey Murphy and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Sam was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer and Betty Justus; grandfather, Ray Evans and uncle, Glen Cubbage.
