Ruth Etta (Connor) Stauffer

Ruth Stauffer, 87, of Muscatine, passed away Friday, August 28, 2026 at her home in Muscatine. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Ruth Etta Conner was born January 27, 1939 in Eddyville, the daughter of Bill and June (Johnson) Conner.  On June 2, 1957 she was united in marriage to Thomas Stauffer.  In the summers Ruth and her husband owned and operated Stauffer Markert in Oskaloosa.  During the winter Ruth worked at Walgreens in Muscatine.  Ruth enjoyed going to the casino.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Ruth will be missed by her husband, Thomas of Muscatine; sons, Dan Stauffer, Terry Stauffer both of Muscatine; grandchildren, Jackie (Matt) Donath of Muscatine, Scott (Esmeralda) Stauffer of Grandview, Alex (Melissa) Stauffer of Muscatine, Marcus (Marlee) Stauffer of Letts and Troy Stauffer of Davenport; great-grandchildren; Aubree, Allen, Lexi, Gabe, Eli, Tyler, Bodi, Bennley, Rayce, Rayden and Sawyer.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Connor and sister, Pat Phillips.
