Ruth Lou (Hamilton) Fisher

Ruth Fisher, 61, of Mediapolis, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Southeast Iowa Regional Health Center.  Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Mediapolis. Ruth Lou Hamilton was born on November 21, 1964 in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Alice (Beeding) Hamilton.  On September 29, 2001 she was united in marriage to Andrew Fisher in Burlington. In her younger years, she worked at the basket factory in Burlington but recently was a CNA at Specialty Care in Wapello and later a CMA at the Mediapolis Care Facility.  She loved her crafts, her dogs and most of all spending time with Andy and her family.

Ruth will be deeply missed by her husband Andy of Mediapolis; her puppy babies; brothers, Frank (Linda) Hamilton of Osceola, Leroy Hamilton of Burlington; sister, Ruby (Pete) Peterson of Burlington and many extended family and friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Fay Dean and Freddie Dale Hamilton, Clint Hamilton, Donald Hamilton and Elizabeth Allison.
