Ruby (Seydel) Cunningham

Ruby Irene Cunningham, 95, of Columbus Junction, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at her home in Columbus Junction.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Columbus Junction.  Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 20, 2023, at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. Sympathy notes may be left to the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the 3 Angels Broadcasting Network (3ABN) in memory of Ruby.

Ruby Irene Seydel was born on December 12, 1927, in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of Isaac Eli and Sylvia Jeanette (Howell) Seydel.  She was a graduate of Muscatine High School.  On April 27, 1946, Ruby was united in marriage to Raymond Cunningham. She worked for H.J. Heinz in Muscatine for 20 years.  Ruby was a member of the Marion Avenue Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and horses.

Ruby will be deeply missed by her husband, Raymond Cunningham, Sr. of Columbus Junction; her children, David Cunningham of Columbus Junction and Candace Cunningham of Columbus Junction; six grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Kim Cunningham and Raymond Cunningham, Jr.; one sister, Dorothy Flexger-Parson and two brothers, Virgil Seydel and Wendell Sydel.
