Rosanna Nye Obituary

Rosanna M. Nye, 73, of Mediapolis, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at her home in Mediapolis.  Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Mediapolis.  Burial will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Keokuk.  Following the committal service, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Calvary Foursquare Church in Keokuk.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Rosanna.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Rosanna Marlene Guinn was born on July 31, 1952, in Emmetsburg, Iowa the daughter of Richard Duane and Dorothy Jean (Weir) Guinn.  She was a 1971 graduate of Mountain Lake High School in Minnesota.  On January 21, 1972, Rosanna was united in marriage to Gerald Grant Nye in Mountain Lake, Minnesota.  Rosanna worked as a CNA from the time she was 14 until her marriage, then worked at Sheller-Globe for 13 years, returning to CNA work and retiring as a PCA.  She enjoyed gardening, camping, traveling with her husband, spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rosanna will be deeply missed by her husband, Gerald of Mediapolis; her children, Michelle (Kenneth) Vradenburg of Mediapolis and Chris Nye and partner, Shannon Housman of Burlington; grandchildren, Micheal Biddenstadt and significant other, Samantha, Matthew (Jasmine) Nye of Keokuk and Cody Vradenburg of Mediapolis; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Richard (Adel) Guinn of Wisconsin, Mark Guinn of Sanborn, Minnesota, Rebecca (Jim) Baerg of Mountain Lake, Minnesota, Roberta (Gary) Anderson of Lakefield, Minnesota, Melinda Johnson and significant other, Darryl Oeltjenbruns of Butterfield, Minnesota, Randy (Jessica) Guinn of Victorville, California, Angela Allen and significant other, Dave Windgate of Spencer, Iowa, Clara Guinn and significant other, Marty Ring of Darfur, Minnesota and many nieces and nephews.

Rosanna was preceded in death by her parents; son, Clifford Nye; sister, Martha Oeltjenbruns and Baby Boy Guinn.
