Ronald E. Krueger

Ronald E. Krueger, 71, Riverside, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at his home.  Services will be held at a later date with burial in the Lone Tree Cemetery.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Ron.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  The Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Riverside is caring for Ron’s family and arrangements.

Ronald E. Krueger was born on January 3, 1952, in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Delbert E. and Virginia L. (Watkinson) Krueger.  He was a 1970 graduate of Lone Tree High School.  Following graduation, Ron proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard.  When Ron returned home, he attended the University of Iowa.  On May 3, 1983, Ron was united in marriage to Virginia “Ginger” Walsh in Iowa City.  He worked various jobs, retiring from the Riverside Casino.  He enjoyed watching movies, playing video games and visiting with neighbors, but most of all, he loved to spend time with his family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ron will be deeply missed by his wife, Ginger of Riverside; his children, Ron Krueger of Cedar Rapids and Rochelle (Sarah) Carlin-Krueger of Moline; step-daughter, Veronica (Vernon) Eveland-Tripses of Nichols; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren and siblings, Richard (Deanna) Krueger of Lone Tree, Mary (Jim) Thomae of Lone Tree and William Krueger of Arizona.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Helen Ehlert.
