Ronald Hart Obituary

Ronald E. Hart, 85, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023, at Unity Point Trinity in Muscatine. Ronald Eugene Hart was born on March 28, 1938, in Centerville, IA the son of Pearl and Mamie (Morrow) Hart. He served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1960.  Ron received his Associates degree from MCC, his Bachelors degree from UNI and his Masters degree from St. Ambrose. 

On December 29, 1965, Ron was united in marriage to Gloriann Cullen in Muscatine.  He was a Design Engineer at J.I. Case from 1980 to 1995 and patented one of his designs.  Ron was a member of the Faith United Church of Christ, the Elks and the Moose.

Ron enjoyed woodworking, spending many hours in his shop.  He also enjoyed reading, watching television, especially Wheel of Fortune, playing solitaire and was a certified scuba diver. Traveling was a big part of his life.  For three years Ron and his family traveled the United States, stopping at various places including, Yosemite National Park, the Grand Canyon, Disney Land and Disney World.  Ron and Gloriann loved to go on cruises and wintering in Florida.  They made Florida their home from 2015 to 2020 before moving back to Muscatine.

Ron will be deeply missed by his children, Amanda (Mike) Snyder of Muscatine and Travis R. Hart of Iowa City; three grandchildren, Cullen Stauffer-Hart Wookey (Lindsay York), Carson Morrow-Hart Wookey and Carder Ronald-Hart Ames; many nieces, nephews and extended family

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Jack Hart; sisters, Fern Norris, Ruby Fry and Carole Deputy.
