Ronnie Davis, 84, of Winfield, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Manor House Care Center in Sigourney. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Center of Winfield. Following the services burial will be in Cambrian Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to Manor House Care Center in Sigourney, Winfield First Presbyterian Church or Essence of Life Hospice. Ronald Glenn Davis was born on December 22, 1937, in Crawfordsville, the son of Glenn and Vera (Hall) Davis. He graduated from Winfield High School. Ronnie served his country in the United States Marines. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to the family farm in Winfield. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Bunker on December 6, 1959 at the First Presbyterian Church in Winfield. Ronnie was a life-long farmer and a member of the Saddle Club. He enjoyed hunting for arrow heads and other artifacts, bowhunting, canoeing and being outside in nature. He also enjoyed lifting weights and riding motorcycles. Ronnie’s best friend was his horse Coco Joe and he took great pride in caring for him. Most of all, Ronnie loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids.
Ronnie will be dearly missed by his wife, Evelyn of Winfield, children, Tim (Natalie) Davis of Winfield, Karla (Kirk) Beasley of Sigourney; grandchildren, Kelsey (Adam) Pence, Kensey (Nnaji) Omenye; great-grandchildren, Brekyn, Brieyr, Blayke, Blayre, Ziora, Amara and one on the way; sister, Karen Cawiezell of Eldridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Kara Davis.
