Roberta Marie Ruble

Roberta Marie Ruble, 65, of Morning Sun, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026 at the University of Iowa Hospital after an extended illness.  Per her request, cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Wapello is assisting the family. Roberta Ruble was born on July 9, 1960 in Burlington, Iowa to William Ruble, Sr and Roberta Florene (Dieterich) Ruble.  Following high school, Roberta joined the Women’s Army Corp in 1978, she was one of the last to enlist in the Women’s Army Corp before they were integrated into the United States Army.  Following her service in the Army, Roberta went to work at MackayMitchell Envelope Company.

Those left to honor her memory are her siblings Barbara Sprague, William Ruble, Jr. and Julie Powers and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Florene, her brother Dennis Dieterich, and sister Peggy Dierterich Cates.
