Robert “Butch” Batteau, 65, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at his home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Muscatine. Robert Eugene Batteau was born September 10, 1955 in Memphis, TN, the son of Clifford Eugene and Gloria Faye (Kemper) Batteau. Butch was a painter and owned Professional Condo Care in California. Later he was employed at West Liberty Foods. He was a member of the Nester United Methodist Church at Imperial Beach, San Diego Ca. Butch was a member of the Moose Lodge 388 and the Sons of the American Legion. He enjoyed surfing in San Diego it was his passion growing he lied at the beach. He also enjoyed fishing, sports, BBQs and holidays, especially Thanksgiving. Most of all, he loved being with his family and friends.
Butch will be dearly missed by, daughter, Celina Batteau and her mother, Lisa Garrett of San Diego, CA, adopted daughter, Paulette Howe of San Diego, CA; Mother, Gloria Batteau of New Era; brothers, Kerry Batteau (Donna Johnson-Batteau) of West Branch, Steve Batteau of Muscatine, Keith (Maggie) Batteau of Muscatine; nieces Cheyenne Batteau, Sarah (Jio) Perales, Haley Batteau, Jacklyn Batteau; nephew, Clifford Batteau; great nephews, Noah and Emiliano Perales; friends, Dan Reynolds, Alma Moreno, Esmeralda Candela and Tami Stagg.
He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Jackie Lynn Batteau.
