Robert “Wayne” Kilburn, 83, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024, at his home in Muscatine. No funeral services or a celebration of life are planned at this time. Memorials may be left to the National Kidney Foundation in memory of Wayne. The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Muscatine is caring for the family. Robert Wayne Kilburn was born on October 1, 1941, in Iowa, the son of Raymond and Maxine (Barnett) Kilburn. On July 3, 1959, Wayne was united in marriage to Barbara Forbes in Muscatine. He retired from North Star Steel after many years. Wayne took great pride in his yard. He loved to spend time with his family, and loved to torment his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wayne will be deeply missed by his wife, Barbara Kilburn of Muscatine; children, Jim Kilburn, Pam (Mike Shubick) Kilburn, Cindy Bierman and Jeff (Shawn) Kilburn, all of Muscatine; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Shirley Barnett and Betty Lou Ashby; two brothers, Edwin and Alan Kilburn and his grandson Bobby “Bobo” Kilburn.
