Robert F. Strabala, 58, of Coralville, formerly of Riverside, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at his home in Coralville. Visitation will be held for family and friends on July 11, 2026 at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services in Riverside. Robert Francis Strabala was born on July 8, 1967, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of John Charles and Phyllis Jean (Blomme) Strabala. He was a 1985 graduate of Highland High School. Robert began his working career starting at Iowa City Community School District, bartending for the Nighthawk in Riverside, Menard’s in Iowa City, and bartending at Charlie’s Bar in Coralville. Robert moved to Arizonia in 2006 and worked for the Marriott Corporation at Camelback Golf Course in Scottsdale, Arizona. Robert returned to the Riverside area in 2025. He enjoyed cars and owned more than 25 different make and models during his lifetime. Robert was very good-hearted person. He was also known for his gift of gab and sense of humor.
Robert will be deeply missed by his mother, Phyllis Strabala of Riverside and siblings, Cindy (Brian) Michel of Riverside, John (Julie) Strabala of Riverside, Richard Strabala of North Liberty, Russell (Tiffany) Strabala of Andover, Minnesota, Jean (Randy) Patton of Coggan, Colleen Strabala (Eric Hodgson) of Salt Lake City, Utah, Marvin Strabala of Marion, Joanne (Mike) Brennan of Charlotte, North Carolina, Mark Strabala of Waterloo, Cecilia Strabala of Mesa, Arizona, Michael Strabala (Samson Elsbernd) of Washington, D.C. and Matthew Strabala (Brett Thomas) of Austell, Georgia.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, John “Jack”, grandparents, and nephew Collin Strabala.
