Robert T. Stout

Robert T. Stout, 72, of Wapello, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Windmill Manor in Coralville.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 2:00 - 5:00pm at the Columbus Junction American Legion.  The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Wapello is caring for Robert’s family.  Online condolences may be left at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. 

Robert Thomas Stout was born on August 10, 1952, in Burlington, Iowa the son of Howard and Janice (McQueen) Stout.  He was united in marriage to Donna Musser and later divorce.  Robert worked as a mechanic at Plank’s and Cove Equipment.  He enjoyed watching racing, driving race cars, hunting, fishing, trapping, driving the countryside to watch wildlife and being in the outdoors.

Robert will be deeply missed by his father, Howard (Joyce) Stout of Burlington; his children, Jessica Stout of Columbus Junction and Nicole Stout and significant other, Dilan of Columbus Junction; step-daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Burkett of Conesville; granddaughter, Jaclyn; step-grandchildren, Jenna, Jordyn and Jackson and siblings, Deb (John) Pytel of Columbus Junction, Paula (Tim) Campbell of Burlington and Mark (Tamara) Leinbach of Wapello.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Janice (Paul) Leinbach, step-mother, Marilyn Tobias and a sister and brother-in-law, Cindy (Jim) Brantner.
