Robert Charles Olson was born on September 25, 1934, in Muscatine, Iowa the son of Harry and Albertine (Theobald) Olson. On January 21, 1955, Robert was united in marriage to Carol Ann Tracy in Muscatine. He worked for Prudential Insurance retiring in 1990. He loved living on the river, fishing and boating. Robert was a long-time ham radio operator. He enjoyed meeting new people and getting to know them, having lunch with his friends and family, but most of all, he dearly loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Robert will be deeply missed by his wife, Carol of Muscatine; his children, Randy (Rose) Olson of Muscatine and Tammy (Mike) Whitmer of Muscatine; six grandchildren, Joshua (Shannon) Olson, Caroline Olson, Heather Keck, Kiley Eastwood, Scott Eastwood and Sarah Whitmer and five great grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Arnold, Delmer and George.
