Robert Eugene Delmater

Robert Delmater, 82, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Pearl Valley Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Muscatine.  There will be no visitation or funeral service.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  The Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Muscatine is caring for Roberts’s family and arrangements.

Robert Eugene Delmater was born April 7, 1937 in Muscatine, the son of Clyde and Susie (Miller) Delmater.  He was united in marriage to Elsie Mae Florea on July 13, 1962 in Iowa City.  She preceded him in death in 1996.  Robert worked for 33 years at Bandag.  He enjoyed sitting outside drinking coffee and watching the birds, playing bingo, watching wrestling and the news, going to church on Sunday at Pearl Valley, but most of all, spending time with his family.

He will be deeply missed by his son, Michael, granddaughters, Angela Morgan, Kayla Delmater, Michelle Delmater, Madison Delmater and Erin Brewer; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Delmater, Jakob Carter, Braelyn Morgan and Ryker Ditsworth; brother, Johnny Delmater; and sister, Dorothy Kosen.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Emory and Donnie Delmater, sister, Delamae Luppino and infant son, Ronald.
