Richard Dyer

Richard Dyer, 77, of Mediapolis, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 at the
SE Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.  Sympathy messages can be left for the family at www.sandfuneralservice.com.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine are caring for Richard’s arrangements.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the South End Park in Wapello.

Richard Dean Dyer was born on October 29, 1944, in Novinger, MO, the son of Clarence and Opal (Alger) Dyer.  Richard graduated from Novinger High School; Class of 1962.  He served in the United States Air Force.  He retired from being a postal carrier in Burlington. Richard enjoyed going to the casino, watching “Price is Right” and “Wheel of Fortune”, drinking coffee at his local Fast Break and most of all, spending time with his grandson and daughter.  

Richard will be deeply missed by his daughter, Brandi Lee (Nick Adrian) Dyer; grandson, Preston E. Dyer; former wife, friend Hilda (Dickey) Dyer all of Wapello; siblings, Louise (Butch) Newman of Kirksville, MO, Liz Tarpein of Columbia, MO, Loren (Mari Kay) Dyer of Pensacola, FL, Albert (Martha) Dyer of Green Castle, MO; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, (Clarence) Eugene.
