Richard Bryant Obituary

Richard Bryant, 80, of Wapello, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at his home.   Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Wapello.  Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at the Wapello Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at the Briggs Center in Wapello.      A memorial has been established in Richard’s name.  Online condolences may be left at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. 

Richard Lee Bryant was born on November 12, 1944 in Burlington, the son of Harold and Edith (Fuget) Bryant.  Richard was a graduate of Wapello High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army.  In 1968, Richard was united in marriage to Marsha Townsend in Dallas City.  Richard worked many years for J.I. Case Company in Moline and retired from Case New Holland in Burlington.  He enjoyed mowing, working on cars and attending car shows. 

Richard will be deeply missed by his sons, Michael Bryant of Marshalltown, Iowa and Christopher Bryant of Cape Coral, Florida; grandchildren, Jalinn Bryant, Jared Bryant and Chase Miller and long-time girlfriend, Barb Foster of Wapello. 

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marsha in 1980; and sister, Mary Clester.
