Regina Ann (VanHecke) Buckman

Regina Buckman, age 83, of Columbus City, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Colonial Manor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Columbus Junction. Burial will follow the services at Conesville Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.  Memorials may be left to the family in memory of Regina. Regina Ann VanHecke was born November 5, 1938 in Rock Island, IL the daughter of Harry and Eileen (Reece) VanHecke. She graduated from Alleman Catholic High School in Rock Island.  Regina was united in marriage to Richard “Red” Milder on April 25, 1959.  He preceded her in death on January 1, 1981.  She was united in marriage to Fred Buckman on November 25, 1987.  Regina was a CNA at Colonial Manor and later worked for the Department of Human Services until her retirement.  She enjoyed crosswords, sudoku, sewing, crafts, camping, basketball, cooking, baking and most of all, being with her family.

She will be missed by her husband, Fred Buckman of Columbus City; children: Ed (Shanda) Milder of Muscatine, Colleen Milder of Columbus Junction, Andy (Machelle) Milder of Fredonia, Eileen (Richard) Stroud of Fredonia, Tony (Betsy) Milder of Wilton, Denise (Jeff) Henning of Fruitland, Jon (Wendy) Buckman of Conesville; grandchildren: Jeramie (Tiffany) Milder, Carrie Bueno, Dylan (Jamie) Marschang, Wyatt Marschang, Zach Milder, Kyndal Lievano, Emma Milder, Bryant (Ashley) Milder, Brady (Sarah) Milder, Brooklyn (Mitchell) Griffin, Paige (Glen) Kistler, Taylor Stroud, Bailey Stroud, Kali (Reid Johnson) Milder, Adam Crumly, Owen Milder, Abby Buckman, Cayla Buckman, Tyler Buckman, Angie Buckman, Jeremiah (Kristen) Smith, Jacob Smith,; great-grandchildren, Monroe, Wesley, Kyla, Kendall, Spencer, Christopher, Jake, Harper, Jax, Emmy, Ella, Landen, Leo, Iris, Karter and two on the way; sister, Kim Winters of Rock Island and many extended family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; son, Tim Milder; siblings, Mike, Becky, Kris, Mary, Collette and Tim.
