Raymond Cunningham, 96, of Columbus Junction, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at his home in Columbus Junction. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Columbus Junction. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the family in Raymond’s name. Raymond Edward Cunningham was born on May 16, 1928, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Harold and Vina (Althaus) Cunningham. On April 27, 1946, Raymond was united in marriage to Ruby Seydel. Raymond had many jobs and was a trucker in the Oil Fields and for Cunningham Trucking. He was a member of Marion Baptist Church and various Saddle Clubs. He enjoyed music and horses. Raymond loved the Lord.
Raymond will be deeply missed by his children, David Cunningham of Columbus Junction and Candace Cunningham of Columbus Junction; close grandson, Raymond (Dawna) Cunningham III; six grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and brother, Clarence” Bill” Cunningham of Missouri.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sons, Kim Cunningham and Raymond Cunningham, Jr.; sisters, Marion Millett, Gloria Trout and Juanita Smith and brother, Harold Cunningham.
