Ray Cozad, 62, of Fruitland, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024 at his home. A Celebration of Life for Ray will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday October 12, 2024 at Roomy’s Grill & Chill, 102 Center Street, Fruitland. Raymond Dean Cozad was born on June 25, 1962 in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of William “Billy Joe” and Betty (Blackman) Cozad. Raymond attend Muscatine High School. On July 23, 2005, he was united in marriage to Cindy Musgrove in Muscatine. Ray worked for C&S Wholesale Foods/Kraft Heinz Company as a fork truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, fireworks, and going out in his golf cart. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends.
Ray will be deeply missed by his wife, Cindy of Fruitland; daughter, Amy Jo Bock of Fort Worth, Texas; his mother, Betty Cozad Browning (Ted Browning) of Churdan, Iowa; step-children, Chad Smith and Casey (Jacee) Smith, all of Muscatine; grandchildren, Emma and Henry Bock; step-grandchildren, Charlie, Parker, Drake, Harrison, Annie, Maria, Matthew and Emilo; siblings, Jack Cozad of Muscatine, Carolyn Hidlebaugh of Muscatine and William “Bill” (Jennifer) Cozad of Churdan.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Rick Cozad; sisters, Sheila Gray and Sara Griffin and step-daughter, Tirena Smith-Mendieta.
