Ralph was born on July 15, 1940 on the family farm in Muscatine to Ralph E. and Marie (Caldwell). He was united in marriage to Lois Fox on July 20, 1958. Ralph was an over the road truck driver for many decades. After he “retired”, Ralph could be found in one of two places: either in his garage tinkering on projects or out mowing the lawn. Ralph loved animals of any size and was known as “Doctor Do-Little” by his grandchildren. He was a “Jack of all trades, but master of none”; he could build a house, fix anything with a motor, care for animals, and everything in-between.
Those left to honor his memory are his children Randy Pace, Joann Babcock, Peggy Pace, and Shelly Pace; grandchildren Cory, Matthew, Brook, Dustun, Jessica, Greg, and Tyrle; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings Keith Pace, Delores Dennis, and Terry Petersen; and his beloved dogs Deisel and Dakota.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lois; parents Ralph and Marie; a son Dale Pace; son-in-law Derby Babcock; and brother Charles Pace.
