Pravin D. Patel

Pravin Dahyabhai Patel, 70, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020, in Maui, Hawaii.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Muscatine, formerly the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home.  Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army or the Muscatine Lions Club in memory of Pravin.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Pravin Dahyabhai Patel was born on June 12, 1949, in Nar Gujarat, India the son of Dahyabhai and Lilavati D. Patel.  Pravin received his Master’s Degree from Tennessee Tech University.  On July 29, 1996, Pravin was united in marriage to Usha Lodha.  He was a Process Control Engineer for Monsanto for 30 plus years, retiring in 2015.  Pravin was the President of Muscatine Lions Club.  He enjoyed traveling the world, attending family and friends’ events, and eating from all regions, especially seafood.

Pravin will be deeply missed by his wife, Usha of Muscatine; his children, Phillip Patel of Iowa City and Jessica Marie (Henry) Trejo of Arkansas; grandson, Vicente Trejo; mother, Lilavati Patel of Coralville; siblings, Jagdish (Meena) Patel of Coralville, Atul (Sandi) Patel of Coralville and Jay (Sonal) Patel of Coralville and Lodha family.

Pravin was preceded in death by his father, Dahyabhai Patel and first wife, Jackie Patel.
