After 40+ years I became the Joy Class teacher when Phyllis stepped down, but her and Richard still attended the Bible study class and I loved them so much!  Richard gave great hugs!  He was also so supportive of my volunteer efforts on behalf of the Columbus Community Club when fundraising for the Swinging Bridge.  He bought a t-shirt every year and frequently wore them to church.  They were such an inspiration and wonderful examples of true Christians.

I shall always visualize Richard and Phyllis sitting in their church pew waiting for services.  Phyllis always had her Bible and pen ready to read and take notes, a truly Godly woman.  I also remember going to the Utter farm as a teenager for a big church ice skating party.  A huge bonfire, cocoa, and a lot of great fun!  A wonderful life

Richard and Phyllis will be greatly missed. They made me feel welcome into family gatherings the many times we went.  There will be great memories for all to cherish.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family.
