Philip “Phil” Hathaway, 49, of Muscatine passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Accura HealthCare Services of Muscatine with his family by his side. Phil was born on March 29, 1976 in Tacoma, Washington to Larry and Sharon (Wehrhan) Hathaway. He was united in marriage to Jackie Abrahamson on May 28, 2005 at the George Wyth State Park in Waterloo, Iowa. Phil loved to work on electronics and was the “go to guy” at OEM when something needed to be fixed. He was a big foodie, especially when it came to sweets, and enjoyed watching movies, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Those left to honor his memory are his wife of 20 years, Jackie; siblings Jenifer Hathaway, Glenn Dalbey, Susan Dalbey, Dustyn (April) Hathaway; sister-in-law Mahala (Russ) Jacobsen; nieces and nephews Summer Hathaway-Cameron, Fiona Dalbey, Kalen Dalbey, Sebastian Dalbey, Tomorrow Hathaway, and Nexus Hathaway; Aunt Karon Rubendall; cousins Shawn Rubendall, Melinda Green, and Alicia Wada; and step-mother Phyllis Hathaway.
He was preceded in death by his parents Larry and Sharon; maternal grandparents Darryl and Shirley Wehrhan; maternal great-grandmother Viola Schneider; mother-in-law Gerry Harris; and uncle Rick Rubendall.
