Paul Tompkins

Paul Tompkins, 94, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Lutheran Living.   There will be no services or visitation.  Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.      Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine is caring for the family and Paul’s arrangements. 

Paul E.  Tompkins, Jr. was born on July 22, 1926, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of John and Myrtle (Wyant) Tompkins.   Paul attended Muscatine High School.   He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  On April 16, 1945, Paul was united in marriage to Betty Newcomb.  Paul was a supervisor for Carver Pump for 30 years. 

Paul will be deeply missed by his daughter, Linda (Mark) Yearian of Williamsburg, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Jane Thomkins of Phoenix, Arizona; 11 grandchildren, Dean of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Tina Robertson of Wayne, Oklahoma, Tamara Tompkins of Denver, Colorado, Paul Tompkins, III of Eldridge, Iowa, Stephanie Haman of Delta, Iowa, and Chad Yearian of Williamsburg, Iowa; 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty on February 18, 2023; son, Paul Tomkins, Jr.; four sisters and seven brothers.
