Paul Harrison Stineman of Grandview passed away on Saturday, August 9th, 2025 at the Colonial Manor in Columbus Jct, IA at the age of 100 years old. Paul was born March 1, 1925 in Grandview to Simon Paul “Dyke” and Lois Alice (Harrison) Stineman. He lived his entire life in the little town that he loved.
On June 22, 1947 Paul married Beverly Jean Yakle in Grandview. Paul and Beverly had four children, Michael (Anita) Stineman of Letts, Dennis (Karron) Stineman of Grandview, Christie Stineman of Grandview and Jeff (Richelle) Stineman of Tiffin. They were blessed with 11 grandchildren and 17 great-children.
Paul owned and operated many businesses in his lifetime and was Postmaster of the Grandview Post Office, retiring after 24 years. He was a founding member of the Grandview Community Club where in 1950 he and his brother-in-law first supplied fireworks and organized a parade for the 4th of July celebration that is still held today.
A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held on Friday, August 22nd from noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Grandview Community Bible Church Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to benefit the Grandview Community Club and to support the Compassus Hospice of Washington IA.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Beverly in 2019, and siblings Lottie Austin and James Stineman and grandson Eric Stineman.
Paul will be so fondly remembered as a beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved ice cream and was a friend to all.
