Patty Samuelson

Patty Samuelson, 57, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.  Due to the current State of Iowa restrictions on social gatherings, private graveside services will be held in Greenwood Cemetery.  A public celebration of life will be held at a later date.  A memorial has been established in Patty’s name.   Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. Patricia Harris was born on October 11 1962, in Muscatine, the daughter of Phillip and Mary Louise (Foster) Harris, Sr.  Patty was a 1982 graduate of Wilton High School.  On April 30, 1983, she was united in marriage to Mike Samuelson in Muscatine.  Patty had worked at the bowling alley, Wilton Day Care, Cheri-Top and also did day care.  She enjoyed going to the casino, playing BINGO and taking a walk.  Patty’s greatest love was the time she spent with her family and attending her grandchildren’s activities.  

Patty will be deeply missed by her husband, Mike; daughters, April Samuelson and Kristy Samuelson, both of Muscatine; grandchildren, Jazmeriah, Ike, Austin, Aria, and Aubree; her mother, Mary of Wilton; siblings, Phillip (Robin) Harris, Jr. of Wilton, Mary Ann (Lonnie) Ford of Atalissa, David (Lori) Harris of Muscatine, Dale Harris of Muscatine, Diane Nistor of Muscatine, Doug (Paula) Harris of Wilton and Cathy (Craig) Samuelson of Muscatine and several nieces and nephews.

Patty was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Harris, Sr; grandchildren, Addison and Carson Calvin; sister, Shirley Guevara; father-in-law, Melvin Samuelson; step-mother-in-law, Liz Samuelson, step-father-in-law, John Kautz and brother-in-law, Gheorghe Nistor.
