Patricia Weaver Obituary

Patricia Weaver, 83, of Wapello, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Oakville Park, beginning at 11:30 a.m.  The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Wapello is caring for the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the family in memory of Patricia.  

Patricia Jane Weaver was born March 5, 1941 in Dickens, IA, the daughter of John and Opal (Wetzel) Weaver.  She was united in marriage to Paul Mellott in 1963.  The couple later divorced.  Patricia was a nurse in the Surgery Department at Burlington Medical Center and later at Burlington Care Center.  She later worked at the Central Soya Turkey Plant.  Patricia enjoyed playing cards, spending time in nature, especially watching eagles, mushroom hunting and bonfires.  Most of all, she loved to be with her family.

Patricia will be deeply missed by her daughter, Michelle (Daniel) Robbins of Oakville; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, John (Ingrid) Weaver of Lynchburg, TN; sisters, Charlene (Jim) Geiger of Wichita, KS and Sue Pratt of West Burlington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kelly Mellott and brother, Dennis Weaver.
