Patricia A. (Kuepfer) Monahan

Patricia Ann Monahan, 91, of Grandview, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024 at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home. A graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Grandview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Washington County in memory of Pat. Patricia was born on December 24, 1932 in Baraboo, Wisconsin, the daughter of Alfred William and Nell Madilin (Granger) Kuepfer. She attended school in Wisconsin, graduating from high school in 1950.

For 25 years, Pat worked for and later managed Pat’s 66 Café. She was a former member of the Grandview Community Bible Church. Pat was an avid supporter of Disabled Veteran’s and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She enjoyed sports and was a fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. Pat also enjoyed watching the Game Show Network and old western movies. Her greatest joy in life came from the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She will be missed by her children: Debi Wilson of Columbus Junction; Ron (Sheila) Monahan of Muscatine; Noreen Finley (Larry Parks) of Grandview; Cheryl (Jim) Murray of Grandview; and Tina (Mark) Chaussee of Loves Park, Illinois; 13 grandchildren: Brittney Mincer (Crystal), Jessica (Tyler) Conaway, Richard Rivers (Zulema), Zac Monahan (Amie), Emily Monahan (Stephen), Brandon (Stephanie) Finley, Hayley Finley, Benjamin (Destiny) Finley, Shane (Allyssa) Clapsaddle, Jacob (Sarah) Clapsaddle, Noah Hedin (Lauren), Dane Chaussee, and Savannah (Shanker) Patel; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and her beloved grand-dog, Chumly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Alfred W. (Ida) Kuepfer, Jr.; sister, Geraldine Fugate; and nephew, Don Laurien.
